Blue Ridge Area Health Education Center (AHEC) is a non-profit regional health education center based in Rome, Georgia. Blue Ridge AHEC’s goal is to connect students to health careers, professionals to communities, and communities to better health by improving the quality, education, supply, distribution and retention of health care professionals.
Romega Digital has partnered with Blue Ridge AHEC for several years and during that time we’ve taken them through website redesigns and tweaks as well as an upgrade to a mobile responsive design.
We’re very excited to launch a more modern website that enhances the functionality for both site visitors and those who manage the site content for the center. The navigation of the new site hasn’t changed (if it’s not broken, don’t fix it), but important links are called out with colorful blocks and a more airy design.
Additional new features…
Ease of use for content managers.
Blue Ridge AHEC content managers now have more control over what is displayed on the home page and the site content is easier for them to manage. For example – they can change the text, icons, and links in the four colored blocks on the home page from the admin login.
Enhanced mobile views.
The original website was responsive prior to this new design, but the new mobile views are more complex and better reflect the design of the site no matter what device it is viewed from.
Twitter feed integration.
The most recent @AHECBLUE Twitter post shows up in the footer of the site as do other ways to connect with Blue Ridge AHEC.
