Garden Lakes Realty’s Digital Remodel

Garden Lakes Realty has 60 years of experience in the Rome real estate market. With all their energy focused on serving the people of Rome, their website became less of a priority. Recently, they decided to strengthen their online image and turned to Romega Digital to make that happen.

The team there was looking for a complete redesign. They deal with rentals and sales in both residential and commercial markets, so Romega had to make sure each type of customer could easily find what they are looking for.

Sales

Garden Lakes’s old system was hosted on a separate website. So, people had to go to another URL to see homes for sale. This set up was not ideal. The new platform is seamless and part of their actual site, so all URLs include gardenlakesrealty.com, which is important for sharing and linking.

There are multiple ways to discover a house on the new website. From the home page, people can do a quick search for homes by selecting a section of town via a drop-down menu. There’s also a more detailed search when you click on “For Sale” that allows for people to select multiple cities, choose a property type and set a minimum square footage. They can also draw a selection on a map and see all the results in that zone. Details for each property include a photo slideshow, list of features, a map, and a mortgage calculator.

Users can also sign up for email alerts when there are new properties matching their search, and save searches and properties to their account.

Rentals

Garden Lakes Realty uses a property management software for their rentals. We integrated with that software to show available properties on their site. On the Property Management page, residents can easily pay their rent online and access their online tools. Owners can log in to their portal as well.

Along with offering rental properties, Garden Lakes wanted to host forms and information for current renters. Registered renters can access a maintenance request form to report issues. On top of that, the form responds to various inputs with suggestions, like prompting the user to check to make sure a lightbulb isn’t blown out, or that water is turned off at a toilet leak.

Romega helped us accomplish our goal to balance the needs of our two separate audiences: those looking to buy and sell and those looking to rent. They made our website look clean, professional and attractive, giving people more confidence in our business.

We were excited to take on this full redesign. Now, the website is clean and communicates to the needs of Garden Lakes’s clients.
